When people first hear about the Gabriel Method, they assume it’s some sort of diet plan. It’s not. The human body has a “fat switch” that tells it whether to store fat. When you turn that switch off, your body will stop storing so much fat and you will lose weight without even trying. Sound to good to be true? It isn’t. There are several things you have to do to turn off your fat switch. But let me tell you what you don’t have to do.
- You don’t have to starve yourself.
- You don’t have to exercise for hours on end.
- You don’t have to take any pills or supplements.
- You don’t have to follow any strict meal plans.
Jon Gabriel is the perfect example of someone who kept trying to lose weight but got fatter and fatter instead. He tried every diet imaginable: the Atkins diet, the Zone diet, the Mediterranean diet, the South Beach diet, a vegetarian diet, and just about every other popular diet out there. Nothing worked.
With every one of these diets he would lose a lot of weight at first, but then the weight loss would get slower and slower. Pretty soon he would be dieting just to maintain a weight he wasn’t even happy with, and the second he gave in to temptation all the weight he had spent months getting rid of would pile back on, and then some.
Then in 2001 he had an experience that changed him forever (you can read about it here). It was the sort of experience that reminds you that life is short and you better enjoy it while it lasts. But at 409 pounds, Jon was not enjoying life. He was constantly tired, achy, and hungry. There had to be a way to drop the weight and keep it off forever.
Jon’s search for a solution involved hours of research everyday for months. He already had a background in biochemical research, but in addition to biology and nutrition he also studied psychology, hypnosis, linguistics, and even physics. Eventually he discovered the fat switch. When he turned it off he lost weight slowly at first, then faster and faster. And it happened without dieting!
Most people have bodies that want to be fat. It’s a survival mechanism that exists in case of cold temperatures or a lack of food, and it causes you to store fat and feel hungry all the time. But if you change your body and make it want to be thin instead, you will stop storing fat and stop feeling hungry all the time. When that happens, you can drop weight without even trying.
Jon Gabriel’s transformation got him a lot of attention. He had all sorts of people asking him how he did it, and soon he started getting invitations from media outlets. He never actually intended to write a book, but there got to be so much demand that he realized he’d be crazy not to. So he sat down and wrote out his step by step process for changing his body without dieting, supplementing, or constantly exercising. He called it The Gabriel Method, and before long it became an international best seller that teaches:
